Metal or alloy Foils

Calmeasures offers a wide variety of metallic foils in various thicknesses and sizes. We provide both pure metal foils and alloys. With the exception of copper and gold, our metals exhibit a silvery luster when freshly prepared or polished. They possess comparatively high thermal and electrical conductivity, are malleable or ductile, and often demonstrate high tensile strength.

Alloys are materials with metallic properties that consist of at least two metals along with one or more other elements. Their composition, as well as their physical and chemical characteristics, can vary significantly. Common examples of alloys include steel, brass, and bronze. Depending on the desired thickness, Calmeasures foils are produced using rolling, sputtering, or vapor deposition techniques. While many metals can be fabricated into self-standing foils, our thinnest films are provided on polymer supports, such as Mylar®
